Alitalia direct flights Rome to Rio de Janeiro GIG

June 4,2011 Alitalia airlines will launch new 4 weekly direct flights from Rome Fiumicino to Rio de Janeiro, The departure from Rome Fiumicino airport will be scheduled for 22:30 (on Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday and, from July, also on Friday) with arrival in Rio de Janeiro scheduled for 05:40 local time. From Rio de Janeiro take-off is at 14:45 (on Monday, Wednesday, Sunday and, from July, also on Saturday) and landing at Rome Fiumicino airport is at 07:10. The schedules are designed to allow passengers excellent connections with the domestic and international network of Alitalia.
The Alitalia intercontinental network grows, with a total weekly offer of 11 flights to Brazil, with scheduled time of departure/arrival as to optimise connection with international and domestic destinations flights.

The Rome-Rio De Janeiro FCO GIG nonstop flight will be flown by the new airbus A330 300 aircraft, that will be added to the fleet within the process of long haul fleet renewal. Onboard design features the new three classes: the Economy Classica, the Economy Classica Plus-Premium economy – the new service class dedicated to Economy class passengers that wish more comfort and privacy - and Magnifica-Business with the latest generation lie flat bed and excellence inflight service.

world, with cheap flights to Rome, Milan, Palermo, Catania. in addition to
Brazil, already flies to Argentina (7 weekly flights to Buenos Aires) and Venezuela (7 flights per week to Caracas)”.
