Air Canada Flights to New Orleans in October

Air Canada started daily direct flights between Toronto and New Orleans on October 2010 using 75-seat, Bombardier CRJ705 regional jets operated by partner regional airline Jazz Air.

From October 30, flight AC7971 depart Toronto Lester B. Pearson International Airport (YYZ) at 9:50 a.m. local time and arrive at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) at noon. The return flight, AC7972, will depart MSY at 12:35 p.m. and arrive at YYZ at 4:20 p.m. local time.

The flight will be the only daily, non-stop service between the two cities, according to Air Canada. The airline has operated services to New Orleans in the past.

This new route is in direct competition to WestJet, who announced a couple of days ago that they would also be featuring a service to New Orleans from Pearson International Airport, however, it will not be a daily run.

Customers will enjoy the choice of two classes of service, Its CRJ705s feature 10 Executive class seats and 65 Economy class seeats and offer seatback, personal tv entertainment throughout the aircraft.
