For flight numbers beginning with D7, such as flight from melbourne to LCCT Kuala Lumpur check-in counters open 3 hours and close 60 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time.
For air asia flight numbers beginning with AK, FD and QZ, check-in counters open 2 hours and close 45 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time.

Please provide the booking number or travel itinerary upon check-in together with identification card or passport. Guests will be denied check in if they fail to be present before the counter closure.

Effective 1 November 2010, there will be a VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF AIRASIA CHECK-IN COUNTERS within Malaysia, as most of our Check-In Counters will be converted into Baggage Drop-off Counters.

To ensure a queue-free and faster Check-In process, Self Check-In by utilising air asia Web before you arrive at the airport. Web Check-In will be available from 7 days and up to 4 hours before your scheduled flight departure.

If both your departing and return flights are within 7 days from the time you Self Check-In then both your departure and arrival boarding passes can be printed.

Expectant mothers
Guest(s) travelling with infant(s)
Guest(s) with reduce mobility and those with special needs
Guest(s) travelling to Australia (guests will require pre-immigration clearance)
More than 9 guest(s) under one booking number
Guest(s) who have purchased ticket(s) under our flight transfer service
Credit card & EGV voucher bookings made via internet or call centre, departing within 24 hours from the time of booking
The following travel document(s) are required for travel:
Within Malaysia a valid passport, MyKad, MyKid or Birth Certificate (for children below 12 years).
International or Regional Destinations a valid Passport and Visa, if required.
For travel within Thailand Thai National ID card
For travel within Indonesia Kartu Keluarga


Kuala Lumpur LCCT airport:
Document check counters are available at the Departure Gate Entrance
(for guests without baggage only).
Baggage Drop-Off counters are available at dedicated counters

Other airports:
Document check and Baggage Drop-Off services are available at dedicated counters.
Important note: • Please ensure that your travel documents have been verified and that your boarding pass bears our document check verification stamp before proceeding to the Departure Gates.
• The Self Check-In boarding pass is not valid unless it bears our document check verification stamp.
• Kindly ensure compliance to Article 6.5 and 6.6 of our Terms and Conditions of Carriage. It is your responsibility to meet the stipulated timelines.
