Barclays joins Iberia Plus loyalty programs

Iberia Airlines has welcomed Barclays into its Iberia Plus frequent flyers programme, which rewards customers for their loyalty.

Iberia Plus cardholders can now earn extra points when they contract several Barclays, products, and exchange the points for flights, hotel stays, car rentals, or other services available to members of the programme

In addition, customers who buy Barclays’ new “Premier Life” product will receive a special gift of 4,000 Iberia Plus points which they can keep in their accounts or exchange for an Iberia flight for two within Europe and two nights in a NH hotel.

Iberia Plus is Iberia’s frequent flyers programme launched in 1991 to reward its best customers with free travel and other exclusive advantages. Today it has more than 4 million members and more than 90 participating companies, including other airlines, major hotel chains, worldwide car rental companies, banks, entertainment and leisure companies, and much more

Members need only show their Iberia Plus cards to Iberia or any of the associated companies to earn points, which can be spent on travel to any of the more than 200 destinations reached by Iberia and its partners in the oneworld alliance.

The www.iberia.com website supplies detailed information about the Iberia Plus and the latest offers in the magazine Plus online. Cardholders can also consult their point balances and manage their accounts, make flight reservations with their points, and book the services offered by all the companies participating in the programme.

In 2009, Iberia Plus rewarded its members will some 700,000 flights, making it one of the most generous such programmes in the world.
